Key steps

  1. Isolate an arm while it is still bent.
  2. Jam your shin or forearm into the inside of that elbow and seat it there.
  3. Take their wrist and bring their hand toward their shoulder, closing the arm over your wedge.
  4. Add pressure slowly and stop at the tap.

Key details

  • A wedge sitting too far toward the hand just hurts; it needs to be right in the fold of the elbow.
  • Look for it when an armbar is stopped by them bending and hiding the arm.
