Key steps
- Feed your inside leg into the gap between their legs and curl it around their lead leg.
- Hook your foot on the outside of their thigh so your shin wraps the leg.
- Control their far sleeve, collar or the ankle of the hooked leg with your hands.
- Keep your other foot on their hip or knee to stop them stepping in.
- Turn your hips under them to set up sweeps, back takes and leg entries.
Key details
- It's most useful when they pass toward the hooked leg, such as with a knee cut.
- A gap between your knee and their leg lets them step free of the hook.
