Key steps
- Pull your knees toward your chest so their posture folds forward.
- Sink your first grip into their collar, thumb inside, working it around toward the back of the neck.
- Take the second collar grip with your other hand on the opposite side of the neck.
- Hold them in with your legs and draw both collar grips tight until your wrists squeeze the sides of their neck.
Key details
- Most of this choke is decided by how far the first hand reaches; a shallow grip only tugs the Gi.
- Keep their posture broken with your legs so they can't sit up and stretch the collar.
- Hide the first grip early; once they see it, they will posture or block the second hand.
