Lasso guard sweep

A sweep from lasso guard. With one arm tied up by your leg, your free foot hooks and lifts a leg, and they tip over on the side where they can't post.

Key steps

  1. Hold the lasso with the sleeve grip tight and the leg wrapped around their arm.
  2. Hook your free foot behind their ankle or knee on the other side.
  3. Drive your lasso leg out and away while your hand keeps the sleeve tight.
  4. Raise the leg you've hooked so they tip over on the wrapped-arm side.
  5. Follow them over and come up on top while the arm is still wrapped.

Key details

  • They have no hand to catch themselves on the wrapped side, which is the way they go over.
  • Losing the sleeve grip loosens the wrap and frees the arm.
