Key steps

  1. Bring your elbows in close to your body to weaken their feet on your arms.
  2. Strip one foot off your biceps by pushing it down to the mat with your hand or knee.
  3. Break the sleeve grip on that side and pin their knee to the mat.
  4. Pass to the side of the pinned leg with a toreando or a knee cut.

Key details

  • Pulling straight back against their legs only tightens the spider hooks.
  • Keeping your elbows tight to your body takes away the leverage their feet need.
