Key steps

  1. Lock your hands around their waist from behind with your chest on their back.
  2. Keep your head tight to their back and your hips close to theirs.
  3. Sit to the mat right behind them, pulling their hips down onto you.
  4. Insert your hooks inside their thighs as they land on your lap.
  5. Switch your grip to a seat belt to settle into back control.

Key details

  • Keep the body lock tight; a loose grip lets them turn around to face you.
  • Sit close to their heels, since sitting far back lets them fall away from you.
