Key steps
- Keep your elbows tight so they can't push an arm across your face.
- Return a pushed-across arm to your own side before their head clamps it.
- Block their leg with your knee to stop them stepping off to the side.
Key details
- React early; once their grip is locked and they're off to the side, it's very tight.
- Pair the defense with a mount escape, since the attack usually starts from mount.
