Key steps

  1. Lock a figure-four kimura grip on one of their arms from the top.
  2. Hold the elbow tight to your chest so they can't straighten the arm.
  3. Pull on the grip to turn their shoulder away and open up their back.
  4. Step your leg in behind them to set your first hook as their back opens.
  5. Release the grip into a seat belt and put in your second hook.

Key details

  • Move them with the grip rather than cranking it; you want their shoulder turned, not a tap.
  • Keep their elbow bent, because a straight arm slides out of the grip.
