Key steps
- Grip sleeve and collar, or wrist and collar tie in No-Gi, and push them back so their weight sits on one heel.
- Step in close at their side, keeping your chest near theirs.
- Hook the sole of your foot behind their heel from the outside.
- Take the heel forward along the line of their foot as your hands drive their chest back and down.
Key details
- Reap only once the heel is loaded; an empty heel just floats out of the way and they stay up.
- Pushing their chest down over the heel turns a small reap into a throw.
